Guest guest
Dear John, Katy, Vaughn, Mr. Big, Haley, and All, I've been 'thinking', I think the very corrupt officers here wouldn't let me off the hook easily on the VAT, eventhough we'll write in big letters that it is a gift,..they'd see only the PC. So, if it really 'wouldn't be a problem' for you to spare some money,.. I think it will be better if you could send us used The Vegan mags/ other vegan lits instead. We haven't got a single copy of The Vegan here. animalpeoplenews.org, farmusa.org, veganopoly.com, fund.org, peta...(i can give you a full list) have at least sent us stuff once (several of them said they'll send regularly), what we haven't 'seen' is ones from the Vegan Society, so, if possible, used The Vegan mags will surely enrich our 'knowledge'/ convert more people (here). And,...please read below, , Thank You. - Vanda. =======================start While I am here, please allow me to send you a copy of what i sent to other vegans (/ veggiedate members who said they'd love to help). The address to send the materials to is: Vandayani Dewi Soewondo (KTP No. 110577/10350) Gg. Delima V/ 21, Tanjung Duren Selatan, Jakarta Barat 11470 Indonesia And, Please put this on the cover of the packet: THIS IS A GIFT TO INDONESIAN ORGANISATIONS AND SCHOOLS, PLEASE DO NOT IMPOSE ANY TAXES. Along with the Indonesian version : HADIAH, MOHON UNTUK TIDAK DIKENAKAN PAJAK. Since, I've been paying VAT and another tax ,I don't know and failed to find out how did they count the taxes. All the packets should have been freed from any taxes, moreover, the VAT ones. The taxes reached as much as Rp 57.495 (around 8, 00 US$) which is more than a quarter of the 'minimum wage' in Indonesia. It was imposed on the 26 mags we received from PETA. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, but, please don't send any mags that you can't part with, I love books- i understand, . Only if you don't have any 'attachement' with the mags, you are very welcome to send them to us. And, if there's anything to be sent here, please 'personalise' the mags, please write something about yourself or anything you would like to share/ get from us here in Indonesia in each mags/ books/ materials you send us, so, when i keep them in the 'library' and pass them on or give them to school, people can always see, that caring vegans are everywhere, what do you think, ? That they are not alone, so that they can move towards veganism easier and with the thoughts that, 'oh, it turns out that it's not weird, IT'S COOL/ Saving lives, the earth,..., . Thank you and BEST WISHES, Vanda (my real name) ==========================end __________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.amexmail.com/?A=
