Guest guest
Hey everyone. I'm new here. I'm Melissa. Mommy to Nicholas. He just turned two on nov 2. We are currently vegetarians, but are going to, hopefully, becoming Vegan. I just recently read an article entitled "why go vegan", and I'm still crying! It completely breaks my heart to think of what these helpless animals go through just to put a piece of meat on someone's plate. Sickening. I've only been vegetarian for about a year now. My husband has slowly but surely converted, and my son has never eaten a lot of meat (only whatever my husband happened to be eating and shared), but is now strictly a veggie man. So, we're still pretty new to this. I went veggie cold turkey, . Just decided one day (after moving away from parents who forced ! me to eat meat as a child) that enough was enough. I didn't eat much meat, anyway. Had no idea why I waited so long. Took a big box and cleaned out my kitchen. It felt great. Haven't eaten meat, chicken or poultry since. I feel better then I ever have. I'm a little bit scared of going Vegan. I know its perfectly healthy for both my son and I, just a little intimidating right now !! Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.. on stocking my fridge, freezer and pantry. Good healthy snack foods that we can just grab and eat. Some easy recipes, as I'm not much of a cook LOL, without too many new or "foreign" ingredients, atleast until I get more used to this. Thank so much in advance. And I look forward to hearing from you ~Merry Christmas~ Melissa & Nickie
