Guest guest
hayley, if you are going to choose mildreds you are going to have to book ahead [ if they take bookings ] otherwise you will spend the night in the pub across the road waiting for tables. also, at the weekends you will not be able to sit around for long to natter as they will be busy pushing people through the door. nice enough place but it is *not* 100% vegetarian. they always do a seafood meal. i reckon you ought to think about that choice of venue. there is an oriental vegan restaurant just across the road which wont kill you. [ although they insist on not soaking their soy chunks for long enough which leaves it taste like dog food. the dry stuff not the wet stuff ... not that i have eaten dog food for a long time. any animal lovers out there tried eating vegan dog food yet or does no one get drunk enough? ] march is month away ... dont you love us more than that? or at least " sooner " than that? if it is west end i would vote for country life although it is expensive, it is worth saving up for. there was a vote of confidence for an indian too. john
Guest guest
oh,...ok. Better not make it Mildred's then. I've been to Country Life which was nice (although I must say my mum's cheesecake is a million times better than theirs!! , but they don't open on a saturday night, do they? We could always go on a sunday instead I suppose. What does everyone think? The reason I can't do it until mid march is becuase I'm going away on friday for almost two weeks and then on the weekend I get back I might be doing a skydive for the NCH and the 17th is the next available weekend. sorry! ...doesn't stop the rest of you meeting up if you want to though! Guest guest
Hi there, I just want to say that I actually like the food at the oriental vegan restaurant across the road from Mildreds ( even though Mildreds has the best vegan burger I've ever tasted!). It's cheap there as well, buffe for £5 (£6 in evenings). Sandra >john allan <jallan >vegan-network > " almost 100 members!!
