Guest guest
Hey Hayley - don't worry about it! You have done so much already in setting up this group. Now it should be up to the rest of us to lend a helping hand and each contribute something to progressing it. Anyone any good at website design? Anybody else good at sourcing information and reports? (I might do some of that!) Artwork? Letter Writing campaigns? We could make this ace! Maybe we could ask to contribute to the Vegan society website or get some tips off them. This could be fantastic! It needn't take up a lot of people's time, we could each do a bit and steadily progress it once it gets easier... Let me know what ya think everybody! Guest guest
....for me to admit I'm a bit cr*p at running this group and hand it over to somebody new! I'm really pleased at the way the network has evolved and grown over the past couple of months from such humble beginnings. However, I feel that the network now deserves more time and input than I am able to give it. I'm work full time and am currently also applying for a part-time job as well so I am going to have even less time in the future. It was suggested to me recently that it would be beneficial to the network for me to become pro-active in searching for new members and promoting the network. I totally agree with this and also think that it would be beneficial to organise more events too. I had originally wanted to set up a website for the network which would be a great way to get information out there about us etc. but I really don't have the time (or ability!!) to do this. I feel sad to give it up (although I will obviously still remain a member) but I feel I am letting people down at the moment...So, basically, I'm either looking for somebody to volunteer to take over the network, or for people to tell me its fine as it is and not to worry about it all so much! Please let me know...thanks! take care, Hayley Hayley Ingman Data Warehouse Fidelity Investments Int: 8-724-7939 Ext: 01737 837939 > Any comments or statements made are not necessarily those of Fidelity > Investments, its subsidiaries, or affiliates. > ----- End forwarded message ----- Hayley __________________________ Get eKno! Guest guest
I agree - Hayley has done a brilliant job in setting this very active group up. It would be good if existing members contributed to helping with it. I could do a page on our site if you would like (http://www.veganfamily.co.uk) - maybe someone else would like to write something for it? just an idea, Lucy earthkid26 <earthkid26vegan-network <vegan-network >12 March 2001 09:26Re: the time has come...Hey Hayley - don't worry about it! Guest guest
Thanks everyone for all the nice things you've said! And thanks also for all your offers of help. Thinking about it, I think I did achieve what I set out to do, which was to help vegans 'meet' other vegans...so if you're all happy with the way things are then so am I! I'm considering doing a website sometime in the future so I will keep all your kind offers of help in mind! Thanks again and if you have any suggestions now or later, please don't hesitate to let me know! John - I think your netiquette idea is a good one, but maybe the script needs to be a little shorter as I know that whenever I see things like that I just ignore them! vegan-network, " Angie Wright " <angiewright@n...> wrote: > I think its fine Hayley.I dont know what you are supposed to do but if you > did nothing and we > keep writing in wont it just carry on anyway???Angie > >
