Guest guest
re: Bug Problem Now that is something i can relate to! The joys of spring and all the little worker ants on the march in April. To be honest, as it is very hard to rationalise out a problem with an ant colony, I think that you just have to treat them like any other unwelcome carnivorous visitor that eats and walks all over your food too. A bit like with mice that pee everywhere, there comes a point where it becomes war; you or them. And rest assured that they dont give a damn about your interest. Return the compliment. Funnily enough, I was going to suggest to SnakeGirl that may be she would not mind ants a pet as theys seem pretty independant and capable of looking after themselves. but i have drawn the line as they seem to looking to make a home here. so if find a solution please post it. i have toyed with introducing a natural predator but God knows how much it costs to feed an anteater for a week. anywhere where you can hire them by the day? whatever eats ants? blackfly in the garden too. another species looking at a very unethical vegan end. john
