open houses

Is it me or am I the only one to see the possible dangers of this open house business? This is group is by no means secure, anyone, anywhere can join whether vegan or not. I feel it is not the place to be offering homes for people to stay etc.

I don't want to sound negative but if there's one thing that has been shown that happens on the net is that people lie (admitedly mainly in chat groups) but I would NOT offer my house to anyone claiming to be vegan or otherwise through the Internet unless some form of security measure were in place to safeguard me, my family, my dogs and my property.

I would encourage anyone planning to have an "open house" to meet well in advance and use caution.

Though it was a great idea.

It is a pity that some non-vegans may encroach on 'our' otherwise accomodating

behaviour!
