It took me a while to catch up on two weeks of posted info here cos I

have been on hols. A lot of stuff has been covered.

Im so pleased somebody is replying to that stupid guardian article. It

makes me so angry when closed minded meat eaters havnt got a clue.

So many people read the guardian and would remember anything bad

said against AR protesters and believe it!! I realy hope they publish

your article Rowan. If you hadn¡¦t written it I would have!

Message to new members: when people criticise you for what you have

said you shouldn¡¦t realy take it personally and be greatfull that you have=

the opportunity to see ideas from other peoples views. There is usually

one or two people with the same view as you who will defend you or e-

mail you. and when other people differ from your opinions that is a good

thing cos if all vegans tought the same it would be very boring!

On the race issue, nothing needs to be done with the info it is just

pointing out that most of the vegans you will meet in Britain will be

white, why? The white culture is not family or community orientated

most of the time and to create this sort of community we have lost

with capitalism you need a label, ours is veganism. We have a little

vegan community very widely spread so when we bump into another

person with same ideas we can recognise them. I think with everyone

so scared of racists, people tend to go too far with PCness like with not

calling black boards black etc. some people do not hold an interest in

why some cultures do some things and others don¡¦t. but people who do

ask why this happens are not racists just interested.

To Hannah Biddle:

How do you get the internet on a boat? Your living aragements probably

sound better than they actually are. Living on a boat sounds so cool.

You also seem to have a prity interesting / cool past.

Im not that bothered about safety stuff so you prob shouldn¡¦t listen to

me when I say that the open house thing is a good idea. Ive already

screened one member (Sandra Pehrsson) just another hundred and odd

to go. Sandra is cool so maybe if other people meet up I would know

that they were ok too. I love travelling and meeting new people esp

vegans.
