Guest guest
if i bother voting at all it will be for the green party. the main parties just take on different roles depending on if they are in power or not. if you are not in power you make lots of ludicrus claims about solving all the problems of the country and making everyone happy and when you do get in power you do exactly the oposite, p*ss everyone off by taking all there benefits away and assinging them to other people. if money was left where it was nobody would be happy cos the people with money want more and the people without money starve. therfore the leading party shifts money around when they first get in. this anoys everyone so come elction time they pretend to give it back. it is definately not a democracy. the indeviduals needs are not met. indeviduals ideas are not shared and used. more and more people are starting to see that the government is totally incapable and full of lying idiots who caused and covered up BSE and also caused foot and mouth. but if you have no links to anarchy people dont see that there are other ways of living rather than the system of today. i would like to make anarchy user friendly but there is a big valley between people who are thinkers and people who arnt. laura, out to save the world
Guest guest
I actually joined the Green Party last year, so I suppose I'd better vote for them! I used to consider myself apolitical, but I got involved a year or so ago with fighting the government over a stealth tax issue which has crippled my company (I freelance through a " one-man " Ltd Company). Anyway, getting involved with this made me realise how stupid the whole system is - and now I will never believe a single word that any (mainstream) politician says. They hide the truth and, just like the discussion on celebs, its all about image, or spin as they call it. I think spin = lies. Anyway, I met some repesentatives from the Green Party Animal Rights section, and went away and read their manifesto. They actually had something which countered the very stealth tax issue that I was campaigning against, which kind of amazed me, and all the rest was completely aligned with my onw values, so I joined. And another thing! (while we're on governments) Governments are only able to control individuals. My company (and the other 66,000 affected) was an easy target because its just me. All of us are open to the government arbitrarily changing laws. But governments seem to pander to big business and allow them to lobby and get away with so much. The multi-nationals (or trans-globals as they seem to be called now) are laughing. They can get generous tax concessions etc, and if the government doesn't play ball they threaten to pull out and move to some other country that is more friendly. Now I know large companies give us jobs etc, but at what price? Anyway, my point is that companies (which by the way are given legal status equivalent to people in most western countries), have learned that governments are almost irrelevant - they can treat the planet as one big resource that they can move around at will to maximise their efficiency (read profit!). Meanwhile, the people who work for them are stuck subject to whatever crazy ideas their government comes up with next. Anyway, just another late night rant! I suppose I'm using this list to try and think through some of the ideas that have been on my mind for a while. --- Rob vegan-network, " Laura " <laurahesse@h...> wrote: > if i bother voting at all it will be for the green party. > the main parties just take on different roles depending on if they are in > power or not. > if you are not in power you make lots of ludicrus claims about solving > all the problems of the country and making everyone happy and when > you do get in power you do exactly the oposite, p*ss everyone off by > taking all there benefits away and assinging them to other people. if > money was left where it was nobody would be happy cos the people > with money want more and the people without money starve. therfore > the leading party shifts money around when they first get in. this anoys > everyone so come elction time they pretend to give it back. > > it is definately not a democracy. the indeviduals needs are not met. > indeviduals ideas are not shared and used. > > more and more people are starting to see that the government is totally > incapable and full of lying idiots who caused and covered up BSE and > also caused foot and mouth. but if you have no links to anarchy people > dont see that there are other ways of living rather than the system of > today. > > i would like to make anarchy user friendly but there is a big valley > between people who are thinkers and people who arnt. > > laura, out to save the world
Guest guest
> i would like to make anarchy user friendly I'm a friendly anarchist. The system uses anarchists & non-anarchists alike. Hannah.
