Guest guest
AND then I'm writing my response above the original post, so everyone doesn't have to scroll through it. Anne Widdecombe pro-life! That'd fit cause she'd also be the first person to bring the death penalty in. Fox Hunting.... all politicians are against that when it suits them. Nope, she's a fascist I'm afraid. > I have to say that even though I have never voted conservative (nor have I any plans to do so), I actually quite like Anne Widdecombe as an individual because of her pro-life stance, and I also heard that she was against fox-hunting, so why are so many people so hateful to her? I would think she is one of the politicians who with the correct influences would tip over the edge and become one of us, or at least lacto-ovo veg, as she already exhibits a good bit of reverence for life, more than most politicians! For the record I am most definitely opposed to the death penalty, I should have specified that I knew that Anne Widdecombe was pro-life on abortion specifically, I didn't know where she stood on the death penalty, but tossing about insults like fascist is quite inappropriate. I'd still have to be be more concerned about animals and the unborn if I had to prioritise some life issues over others. It's simply a question of numbers. If I lived somewhere that had the death penalty, and someone was to ask me which two out of three I would ban out of abortion, the death penalty and the meat industry, but I would not be able to ban all three, I would have to keep the death penalty and ban the others, because even in the USA where they have the death penalty, the numbers of sentient beings killed by it are minuscule compared to the numbers killed by abortion and the meat industry, both of which are too huge as to be unimaginable. Haaahaar..do you ever stop and listen to yourself...you are very insulting, you have never had a kind word to say about your mother, as far as we hear, and you are constantly teasing MrBig about his spelling mistakes...I`m sure you will have something negative to say about me in your reply no doubt. >I'd still have to be be more concerned about animals and the unborn >if I had to prioritise some life issues over others. Well if its simply a question of numbers then in that case lets not ban fox hunting as the number of foxes that are actually caught and killed each year are fewer than the amount of farmers etc that are committing suicide due to their lively hood failing.....sound stupid???? mertle _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Actually my mother is improving somewhat these days, and although I have criticised her she would never have done anything as monstrous as what your mother did to you, and I am confident of that. I think you are the one who has to address honestly your anger towards your own mother. > and you are constantly teasing MrBig about his spelling mistakes...I`m sure > you will have something negative to say about me in your reply no doubt. > Why are you such a b!tch to me, what did I ever do to you?? Mr Big behaves very childishly and taunts me deliberately and you know it. Other people on the list have noticed it too. As Paul Philbrow says, his humour has a shelf-life. But then I think I know exactly why you are so defensive. > > >I'd still have to be be more concerned about animals and the unborn > >if I had to prioritise some life issues over others. Would many farmers commit suicide if fox-hunting was banned? I doubt many would, many farmers regard the hunt as a damned nuisance scaring their livestock, and wrecking fences and hedges. Farmers are not being murdered anyway, so you simply can't compare the two. Unborn babies, animals and convicted criminals are being murdered, they have no choice over their own lives, it's a totally different situation. Guest guest
o.k. in the spirit of sober reflection, let me speak... ....I love all our different view points, not the view points, but the debate that surrounds them...I'm not a bitch, a shit etc...I`m really quite a nice chap...honestly....oh how I love when people throw up hypotheticals.....If the choice came up for me...as usual I would abstane.... ....BUT...I don`t think I could express any preference between death penalty, meat & abortion. I don`t agree with any of them, and given the choice I would refuse to be part of any....but I think the task at hand is not to ban them, but to render them extinct (or at least reduce them) through opening peoples eyes to them. There is an old eastern proverb...forgive me if I quote it wrong, but you will get the idea... he who knows, and knows he knows, he is a wise man, seek him. he who knows , and knows not he knows, he is asleep, wake him. he who knows not, and knows he knows not, he is a child teach him. he who knows not, and knows not he knows not, he is a fool.....shun him. feel free to replace he with she, or shun with excecute...(not) me personally...I`ll just shun him. > " Lesley Dove " <100706.3632 >vegan-network >vegan-network > Re: Not I'm changing the SUBJECT LINE to the >relevant discussion...
