For the record I am most definitely opposed to the death penalty, I should have specified that I knew that Anne Widdecombe was pro-life on abortion specifically, I didn't know where she stood on the death penalty, but tossing about insults like fascist is quite inappropriate. I'd still have to be be more concerned about animals and the unborn if I had to prioritise some life issues over others. It's simply a question of numbers. If I lived somewhere that had the death penalty, and someone was to ask me which two out of three I would ban out of abortion, the death penalty and the meat industry, but I would not be able to ban all three, I would have to keep the death penalty and ban the others, because even in the USA where they have the death penalty, the numbers of sentient beings killed by it are minuscule compared to the numbers killed by abortion and the meat industry, both of which are too huge as to be unimaginable.
