Guest guest
Har, har. Do you mean like the tax payer is currently stumped with the social costs? Drugs are cheap! Pay the foreign farmer a penny a kilo and let the tax payer fund it! Or even better yet, use the horde of stashed drugs from busts... refine it, instead of burning it. It's but a drop in the ocean compared to what's spent on fighting drugs (billions) and dealing with the costs it tolls on society (un-fiscable)! But a drop. The pollies like to look good by having their little (Expensive) war on drugs, but achieve F!!ck all. The tax payers costs are far higher in a war on drugs. >>I'm 100% for the DE-criminalisation of dope, smack and >>cocaine. Take the money away from dealing and all/most problems disappear. >>The thing that annoys me most is it's the tax payer who's stumped for >>health >>costs -------- Best regards, Sergio, CEO vegan http://www.royalwebhosting.com Royal Web Hosting - Royal Quality Hosting
Guest guest
Methodone (pharmaceutical substitute for herion) causes more death than heroin. Alcohol and tobacco cause cancer. I don't think dope has ever killed anyone. DMT & other indol hallucinogens have been used for millenia for spiritual growth of communities. E only kills if mixed with alcohol and other substances, - due to ignorance & myths about drug use. I've only ever heard of one overdose from Amphetamine - which didn't kill the person concerned. To put it in perspective: One child dies every 20 minutes I believe from domestic violence in the Uk. One person dies in a car crash every three minutes world wide. An inpatient dies every week at the hands of doctors (overdoses of pharmaceuticals) in mental hospitals in the UK. It was the American government that introduced crack to America - no point blaming the people. Cannabis is the sixth most popularly recorded crime in the UK. Police haven't got time to bother with it anymore. It is a waste of resources keeping it illegal. Perhaps if they sat & had a joint together they might become less violent & work out a more socially useful way of spending their funding. Perhaps they could spend their money on actually improving the health service instead of wasting funds scapegoating those who in their own homes just want to do their own consential things. Guest guest
Mr probably quite large but has anyone from this group actually witnessed this? You are most welcome to visit. As I said before when you last threatened to come to Cambridge.. Give Dave or me a ring on 0775 919 4789 first. Keep trying if you don't get through - it sometimes takes us a few days to get round to charging the phone. We're about most weekends but if you & partner stay over you will probably have to put up with coming on a cruise with us & having a bonfire. I might have to sign off the vegan network soon as I have to start doing more work at work. But I'd be up for meeting up & staying in touch with you. Where are you based? Mertle - phone me too if you still want to meet. Jade is getting really into being sociable with other kids now & would love to meet Dillon. Hilary - thanks for meeting up with us the other day - Dave Jade & I really enjoyed the lunch with you. You are always welcome to stop by Eva if you see us about on the river.
