Guest guest
When I hear the police commissioner saying " by such and such a year we aim to have x % of blacks, Asians in our force " , in order to combat racism. This statement in itself, is racist. Surely if he wants a multicultural (and I'll get to this in a little while) police force all he has to do is employ people from a multicultural society! If there's 10% Asians in a community (for example), there naturally should be around 10% in the police force! People say Britain is a multicultural society. I think not. In a multicultural society the majority of cultures mix. From what I've seen it's not the case. You get different communities not mixing with each other, living in segregation. I'd like to know what people think, esp. when politicians openly admit to being racist. I think classism has a lot to do with this. From you Australian friend.
