As you may have all guessed from Lesleys subtle hints MrBig is my husband, he and I are very passionate about our beliefs as you all are of yours. We are all here to share our experiences as Vegans and as individuals sadly this has led to some of you deciding that he/we dont fit in to your pretty little world. I've been very vociferous in arguing against him, but I never wanted him to be banned, I would never have asked for him to be banned. I certainly don't think he was banned for his beliefs, otherwise you and a few others would have been banned too. As I see it your views have a fair bit of support here, and I don't think anyone would ban anyone for disagreeing without name-calling. I'm quite sure he was only banned for his uncalled for and vicious name-calling against John Allan, who only expressed a view based on his experiences too. He really should have apologised to John instead of rubbing in the insult by being so joyful that some of us were inadvertently forgetting to change the subject line. IMO he has rather brought this ban upon himself. Guest guest Posted May 16, 2001 Report Share Posted May 16, 2001 Shame,I got to like Mr.Big .I decided most of what he said was tongue in cheek anyway.I don't think people should be thrown out ,but they should take note when warned and not be offensive to others.*I always found Mertle's comments offensive[particularly to Lesley] but hoped with time ,and changing the topic,that this would dimminish. I presume Mertle has not been told to go,and hope that she stays but of course she may leave [solidarity with husband].I never realised you were a couple ---must be slow!!
