Be prepared for badger baiting central!! Isn't Lampeter an

agricultural college?

badger bateing central huh? i though badger bating

was illigal - maybe not in wales.

im going to study religion and philosophy, i dont know

what else is studied there. if badger bating goes on

i might run up to lancaster uni instead (my second

choice)

Well, it _is_ but I know there have been a few court cases there.

Unfortunately, I think all the guys have escaped prison! what sort of

justice is that for badgers?!!

I looked on their website-sorry, I got it wrong, no tractors in

sight!! let me know what you decide, but just think. We could meetup

if you go to lampeter!! What's that....how could you refuse to meet

the infamous suz?!!!!!

Don't remember hearing anything about badger baiting (its illegal

everywhere in the UK), but I was at Lampeter from 1991-1994 (Welsh

Studies and Ancient History), and would recomend the college to anyone

who prefers the countryside over a city. Not the place to go if you

can't cope without nightclubs, cinemas, and loads of shops though, but

plenty of good pubs, friendly locals, and woodland walks to the Iron

Age hill forts. When I was there, there was a fairly active animal

rights group too (fair bit of fox hunting in the area), and many

students helped out at Ty Agored animal sanctuary in Cribyn. Love the

place - I passed through a few weekends ago, and it hasn't changed a

bit! Have you visited Lampeter yet? A lot of the people who got there

through clearing where horrified to discover how small the town was -

although it has everything you need.
