[indiana/wisconsin] i was fortunate in wisconsin to be in Madison, a big university town with plenty of fellow V's of various sorts. Rural central indiana where i grew up, no good at all. i was raised in a traditional meat+potatoes environment. > Do you know any other veg*ns there?? [london] i'm at University College, and so far i haven't met any other v's that i know of.. Yet. Mostly slavering c'vores, unfortunately. But i haven't got out of the lab much, maybe that's why. > What was the deciding factor for going vegan? growing dissatisfaction with animal-based commerce and the methods used, dairy industry in particular. (wisconsin is second in the US only to california in dairy production). Coupled with my improving cooking abilities d

The easy answer is " yes " took me a while to get used to london, but i really enjoy it these days. The music scene is incredible, and lately there's been this strange bright yellow thing up in the sky that makes it much nicer. > I was also veggie for 5 yrs before becoming vegan 8 yrs ago. Good for u! Found cheese tricky too. Although some vegan cheeses taste a little strange, I experimented with making sauces etc, with them, then using my meat-eating friends as 'ginea pigs'.
