Yeah, since I joined, I have spent so much time by the computer. Never had so many e-mails and I'm finding it difficult to keep up and reply to everyone myself! I'm not complaining though, it's great being in touch with other vegans. >I stay right by Tower Bridge, London so I'm a cityboy but I love the >country-side. It seems many people in this group stay in London. Must be the best place for vegans to be! My grandfather and his son (my uncle) owned a farm in NZ but recently sold up and moved to Australia and I'm really gonna miss the quietness and tranquility. Sometimes it was so nice to climb a hill and sit and look around and just enjoy the solitude of it all... and the fresh air. I've never tried to live rural for any great length of time though, I'd probably get lonely I guess. NZ sounds great. I have got used to the lonliness. I live on my own in a wooden cabin at the moment. Nearest neighbours are my workmates. Thats a mile away and there is no reception for tv or mobile phones, I don't have them for company either. [Am I beginning to sound as if I'm feeling sorry for myself?]But then again, the good thing is, on a sunny day I can run outside with no clothes on if I want [a very liberating experience, I must add!] and I can blare my music as loud as I like! >What are you doing for bank holiday weekend? I went to Chai with some of >the others from the network, including the yanks. just done the usual...yesterday went to the city to get some shopping. We had a barbeque and built a big fire by the loch last night. I was glad I was vegan, when I saw the pathetic attempts of my workmates efforts to cook meat on the rocks. It was all charred on the outside and raw inside! I couldn't help but gloat when all my food turned out perfect! Today I went for a ride on my new mountain bike. Back at work tomorrow. No bank holiday here! So how was Chai, then? If I get a job in London after this project finishes, I'd like to try all these things I'm missing out on. > Dee____________________ >Visit http://www.visto.com/info, your free web-based communications center. >Visto.com.
