Guest guest
Yes, well posted Sass. It make a change to have something really On Topic for a change. Important additional areas rarely measured in any dietary science, particularly traditional nutrition and allopathic medicine, is the lack of awareness of four issues: negative food values [ i.e. what does any one food take out of you not just what does it put in you. what do those de-natured " energy " drinks or food suppliments take out of you? ] the real nutritional value of foods [ i.e. what *your* body can absorb rather than just being measured in a test tube. can you for example absorb any of those added vitamins? ] the value of the real, tangible and measurable subtle energy of food [ i.e. " prana " as via Kerlian photography and it like sciences. does not exist to a science in total denial because it is not there when it is empirically dead. ] the power of the mind [ i.e. positive/negative thinking and the immediate effects on body/mind [ via endocrine ] systems of stress, destructive, habitual thought patterns etc. ] Further are the environmental effect of geographic and seasonal locations and Ashley is a prick to our consciences that part of the big picture is movement and exercise. Outrageously healthy, fit, subtle, personally attractive, sorted out vegans are the best argument of all. Give up the rest and concentrate on this one. I find the nature of almost every mutritional advice except for the basic root of Taoist/Vedic/peasant dietary patterns incredibly immature scientifically. A hotch potch of " this is good/this is bad " , " this does this/ this does that " and a lot of " we dont knows/we do not make money to say thats " and entertainming Fad. There seems to be a huge lack of an holistic overview from the spiritual point of view down. And believe me, although I have done time in the frontline of wholefood shops/health clinics and alternative lifestyle, I am not selling anything. A lot of sick people have an investment in being sick and cant/wont change. I can accept at the end of the day, physical health is only 10% about food. Spiritual and planetary healthy is a different matter. But tell them to lay off the animals because you dont need to mess with them and doing so is messing with everything else ... that is for us to prove with our lives. > " moncropping " ? > " water rights " ? > " thesis " ? > " carrots " ? Hold on there Sergio, I am kind of too busy to answer right now and exhausted myself on this thesis but if you can find a web site for The Ecologist Magazine published in the UK it will give you an introduction to the greater environmental issues. If your English is good, it would be an excellent magazine to to and keep up with all the major environmental issues from a very scientific and political point of view without being dry and academic. That goes for everyone. Well research killer statistics and fact to make the opposition flee from your enlightened light. [ not that it will stop them beoufing it up ]. Thanks for asking, can anyone else pick this up? John
