I eat vegan goodies and saute just about everything in Olive Oil! I can say I still can afford to loose about 10 more lbs from having my last baby! So there! LOL Besides, since I gave up aimals,I havent looked better! My complexion looks terrific and the dark circles I had all my life are GONE. Guest guest
I can never resist Whole Earth's Organic Cola - its got a much more natural taste than coke, but still gives you a lift. vegan-network, " Lesley Dove " <100706.3632@c...> wrote: snip > It's the same for me with fizzy pop (coca cola especially) and > crisps! As All I know is that my dad and my gran gave up at least 20 years ago (my gran lived to 93, after quitting quite late in life), they had no help from patches or anything other than willpower, I was quite young but I remember that they both said it was not all that difficult, the same for my husband who gave up just before we were together, he said he didn't find it too hard, and used nothing other than willpower, so I think that with any addiction it is 99% in the mind. Everyone tells people that smoking is hard to quit (this is the sort of myth that the tobacco companies love to use to control their slaves!), therefore people find it harder to give up because they have been programmed to believe it is hard! Most people I know who have quit have reported that they have not found it as hard as they were told it was. It's like going vegan, lots of people are put off by the belief that it is hard, but it's not as hard as they think. > >for after effects I was getting a bit short of breath when exercising, but > >glad to say I've given up now. As for I'm determined to get something for my chest problems (herbal teas maybe), but not sure if I am keen to get diagnosed as asthmatic in case there is a lot of pressure to have ventolin, which in the long- term can make things worse. I'm fine most of the time if I avoid the things that affect my throat and chest. Glad to hear you are not smoking now. That's great, just keep believing in yourself! You are in control, not the evil weed and the evil companies that peddle it! > >cravings for meat and dairy I suppose that only happens to people who > >weren't brought up veggie. I've never craved actual real animal products, even in pregnancy. Lesley
