Guest guest
I've had some contact with Sainsburys. The bakery manager has a list of all ingredients in their baked goods. I dislike the way vegan is being used like vegetarian. Vegan does not refer to what one eats. Vegetarian refers to my diet, Ovo and Lacto should be used to refer to vegetarians who eat such. Labelling cosmetics vegan is okay IMO. " Vegan " is headed down the slippery slop vegetarian has already fallen down. Hmmm, I like to think that I'm making a statement about veganism to Sainsbury's by only putting vegan stuff on mine - I wouldn't let my Dad use it when he bought a veggie (not vegan) sandwich once... By the way, has anyone heard anything about labelling in Sainsbury's??? I phoned their helpline months ago to check if something was vegan and asked them for the most recent list of suitable-for-vegans-stuff, and they said that there was no point in them sending it to me because they were about to start labelling such foods as vegan-friendly. No evidence of it yet, in the little Cambridge in-town store at least. Has anyone else heard/seen any evidence of this???
