Guest guest
>.. but some of the toiletries I've got around the place >at the mo are: ... Ecover One thing I will say against Ecover is that one of their washing liquids (marigold) contains milk proteins so they aren't ethical on the " no animal products " line. I used to like Down to Earth range which never included animal products, although I can't seem to get it now. I'm sure it would be boycotted by many because it is made by a non-vegan company (Reckitt Benkiser, formally Reckitt & Coleman). For cosmetics (as in make-up) Stargazer http://www.stargazer-products.com/ are entirely ethical although I don't know if the decision not to use animal ingredients is made for ethical reasons, nothing suggests it is but I can't think of any reason otherwise. They are a wide range of colours, which is why they are popular with goths, and you can order online although the process isn't too great. Guest guest
Hiya, I emailed nature watch about the body shop and the five year rolling rule and they replied “We do endorse the Body Shop as they have fixed cut-off date of 1990” I also looked at the body shop web site and it said “If, despite follow-up, a supplier fails to complete the declaration or reports conducting an animal test for cosmetics purposes after 31st December 1990, we stop buying the ingredient from them and look for an alternative source that meets our purchasing rule. If no source can be found, and we cannot reformulate the product, we will stop making” So according to this they don’t test on animals, I emailed the body shop to ask them which products were vegan.. still waiting for a reply keep you posted Anne _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
