Guest guest
>Yeah, its just that their (Ecover) products seem to be the ones you >see around most often of the " heading-in-the-right-direction " -ethical >products. They do have a vegan washing up liquid now, which they >never used to have. True, it's vegan society approved too, the only problem is that isn't the one you usually see. I had to get my partner in the Midlands to buy me a bottle of the suitable kind. Maybe it's just me but I am more distrustful of supposedly ethical companies who in reality aren't entirely ethical than I am of any other company. If someone doesn't care then they can't be hypocritical. Unfortunately for me the supermarkets only sell Ecover now, as does both the local health food store and the one in York I visit. I can only hope the store in Leeds Sandra recommends has more choice. Incidentally I visited Sainsbury's purely because of this list today (never been to the local branch before because it is the most difficult to reach) and got one of these infamous chocolate fudge cakes, can't wait to try it. I noticed they only have the non-vegan Ecover washing-up liquid though, and not any ethical washing powder/liquid or fabric conditioner. As for being the supposedly best supermarket for organic products they had no organic rice. Some very interested tinned products though (all of which I should add I cannot buy in any of the health food stores I frequent).
