In Manchester we are lucky to have Unicorn Grocery which is 100% vegan. And 100% suar free and GM free and lots of other stuff-free. It is also very cheap compared to supermarkets and has lots of fresh (not sad-looking) organic veg as well as the usual healthfood stuff. It is always busy and seems to be doing very well. Don't suppose all (or even many) of the customers are vegan (in fact I often hear people chatting in the queue about them " having " to go to Sainsbury's for their organic milk and cheese) but they still shop there. It is a real treat to go in and never have to read the labels. Makes shopping much quicker. It opened in 1996 I think so it has survived this far and will keep going. On the other hand, there isn't much choice for eating out here. You win some, you lose some! Gillian

I saw a website for it once and thought that maybe I could get the train there to do some shopping one day. Michael
