Guest guest
Hi Rowan I should of replied sooner, but work has been a frantic mixture of blood, sweat, tears and students swearing at me ! I lived in L.A for a bit, and didn't find many veggie places to eat. The best is 100% vegan and organic, called " Good Food Daily " down at Santa Monica, it's worth a visit. If you are in Pasadena head for " Jerry's Deli " just off the main shopping street, if you like garlic go for the bruchetta ( or however you spell it ), it was brill + huge. On my travels I usually coped by putting together lots of side orders. I should of taken my " vegan Passport " which explains what vegan means in about 90% of the worlds languages, cause a lot of the restaurant had staff who spoke very little english, which made it all the more difficult. Las Vegas I just ate a lot of fruit, San Diego was fine though, especially the chinese places. Hope this is of some help, have a good trip. Guest guest
Thanks Wendy. The good part about San Diego is we're staying with friends who are veggie (lacto), apparently they have " lactose free milk! " , he he, that's the silliest thing I've ever heard of. It's like buying expensive water (milk) with fat, crap and lactose added.... then taking the lactose out or digesting them. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEH What's next, protein free beef to counter osteoporosis? Perhaps the could supply a pill that binds with protein so people can eat more steak . > Regards, > > Rowan McCartney > Undergraduate Placement Student > Electronic Throttle Control > Visteon ETS > Room GB-28/861 > Visteon Technical Centre > Laindon, Basildon, Essex > SS15 6EE, England. > > * +44-(0)1268-40-6212 > FordNet : 738-6212 > * Rmccar14 Wendy Kershaw [W.Kershaw] 18 June 2001 13:41 vegan-network Re: [100% veg*n ] USA (ot) Hi Rowan I should of replied sooner, but work has been a frantic mixture of blood, sweat, tears and students swearing at me !
