You crack me up, Rob, you really do!! > BTW Did you know that Whole Earth (the people who make the cola) used to be an exclusively vegan food company, until this year they brought out some cereal (I think) with dairy ingredients. No, I didn't know that, that's a shame!! >I'd like to start a campaign to get them back on track (but you're >all probably too busy scoffing Sainsbury's cake! ;0) LOL!! Tell us more about yourself!! > This sounds interesting: - > LOL!! Not me at the moment, i'm on my yogic diet this week, next week i'm on a de-tox and the fortnite after that i'm doing the lean revolutiom diet > Does anyone know what it's all about? That'd be me who sent that!! Basically, on the yogic diet you fast for a day and then gradually build up the food you eat, starting with fruit and veg. It's hard but well worth doing!! The de-tox involves avoiding stuff like caffiene, sugar and processed food and eating lots of fresh stufff like fruit and veg and grains. This gives your body a chance to flush out all the toxins that have accumulated over the years. The lean revolution is a two-week plan by Leslie Kenton where you actually eat loads of food but lose weight!! So obviously it appealed to me!! The de-tox and lean revolution plans I have are not strictly vegan but can be made so with a bit of imagination!! If you would like any more details, feel free to ask!! Sas. Soya cheeses tend to be lower in points and fats than dairy cheeses, for instance, so many of the omnis in the group I was in were quite interested in trying them when I told them this. I would prefer Weight Watchers over faddy and extreme diets, such as ones based on grapefruit or cabbage soup (yuk), none of that appealed to me, and I have not been tempted by short term de-tox diets (sorry Sas), I'd rather get into healthy habits for life with treats in moderation, rather than lots of different diets. WW encourages sensible eating and moderation, so you can still have the odd treat like a little chocolate or a glass of wine so long as you count your points and stick to them over the week. You might eat more points one day and less another day, there is flexibility, and you can eat most vegetables in unlimited amounts. That does not include spuds. It worked for me to lose weight, but I can't say I kept the weight off as I immediately got pregnant with my third child after losing three stone in four months, so I am fat and pregnant now. When the baby is born I intend to diet again on Weight Watchers, but take serious steps not to get pregnant again! Lesley
