Dom,

If you can be bothered to trek into Manchester after work for your evening

meal you could go to The Greenhouse in Rusholme which has a pretty wide

vegan selection - definitely wider than a bit of stir-fried veg! Personally,

I don't think the food is that good but if you have to eat out anyway and

need a bit of choice then it is a good option! It has been there years and

is always busy so obviously everyone is not of the same opinion as me.....

Other than that it is a bit limited for night time eating. On the 8th Day

closes at 6 I think. Misty's will be about the same. Greens in West Didsbury

is open evening s but it is not particularly vegan friendly (although they

can just about cope so long as you can cope with sending things back when

they appear with sour cream on and the like!)/ Never any vegan desserts,

though and it is not really the place to eat alone. Also v popular so need

to book. Probably not very practical for you. 60/40 in Withington used to be

vegetarian but I don't know if it still is. When I went in a couple of years

ago they were very helpful and said that they would veganise whatever was on

the menu. It is like a cafe-bar type place and easy to be in on your own

with a newspaper or something.

Happy eating!

Gillian
