Guest guest
Good ponit Jim, In some ways it might do us some good to be naive, after all, most people I know who are, are also among the happiest. Peace Paula.
Guest guest
Dee, I do agree with Sas, and i do understand what you say. Evil does exist, yes. But I think in this day in age capital punishment should be abolished because the law is corrupt, and so are the police, and even if it's unlikely that the 'wrong man' could be convicted and killed, the very fact that it could happen is enough to abolish capital punishment. By the way, I think it was John, you are right. It is strange that I was offended that someone thinks I'm strange, because I am strange and what's more, totally proud of it. I don't think I ever introduced myself to you people. My name is Paula and I am a vegan vampire. Sleep well. Bye Bye.

Sas. i guess you wouldn't expect many vegans to wish harm to others. I'm sorry if my views have saddened you. But I'm afraid I fail to feel any sympathy for these 'fellow human beings?' No, I'm not saying we should kill everyone who has ever murdered or abused another person as there are so many different circumstances. And of course mistakes are made, so I think we'd have to be very careful and have solid evidence.[that sounds obvious] However I think 'evil' does exist and I don't beleive there is always hope that these people will change. Sorry if I sound sarcastic here, but if someone were to come into your house and shoot your family and they were pointing the gun at you, I don't think any amount of talking and telling them you understand and love them is going to save your life. If you were in possession of a weapon, would you honestly even try to talk to them? Dee _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Agreed, death is the easy option. A life time in jail is a far better punishment for those truly evil people. Until someone comes up with a great solution to this problem I stick to what I've said before. I have to mention something interesting I was reading, this book talks about a primitive society and their ability to use the power of the mind. The aborigines of Australia had what may be considered a far more advanced form of justice than that of some of our more recent Western societies. If a member of the tribe had committed an act which both the tribe and the individual thought was punishable by death, they talked the matter over first and came to a unanimous agreement, upon which the convicted individual simply went away and within one day, using the power of his brain only, had one by one turned off all bodily processes until he had committed a self-induced execution. If only we were as intelligent in this day and age. Dee _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. If it was one of their >family members or friends on death row, would people still be all for >it? Would people still want to see 'justice' carried out? What's your >opinion on this, Dee? >Sas. Sorry if I misunderstood you, Sas, on certain points. If a member of my family was responsible for the death of many people and had no remorse I think I would be ashamed to be associated with such a character. For not only would he have caused the suffering of the victims families, but of the suffering of his own. You probably think this is easy for me to say because I haven't been in that situation, but blood relative or not, I'd still say don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
