Guest guest
Animal eaters destroy far more plants than plant eaters. I'm not bothered about killing plants for food But if they are , they need to go vegan and so kill less plants . Guest guest
I always say, that I became and stayed vegan, because I couldn't live with the fact that 2000 animals would die if I ate meat .Once I became vegan the guilt disappeared! If they say that they don't feel guilty ,I say , " that's why you haven't become a vegan " Angie - Ashley Hooper vegan-network Thursday, June 14, 2001 12:11 PM Re: [100% veg*n ] Re: 20 Questions Hey peoples, this gives me an idea... what do people think is the most constructive approach to take when being queried about our veganism? these are perhaps some of our best opportunities to make a 'convert' so what works best? Guest guest
I hate cooking .I've just had a varied salad with fried mushrooms[hate raw ones]. At lunchtime I had bananas apples and yoghurt Later I might have cereal .. most of my food is not cooked but this is surely not the real reason we became vegans is it ? who dictates what we should be eating and why . For me it doesn't matter whether the diet is correct/healthy /good for the plants / or any other reason animal eaters may invent I don't even consider how the animals are farmed or at what age it is killed .. I dont expect any animal to lose its life for me unless my life is under attack from the said animal So you are all very safe around me . can animal eaters claim the same?? Angie - Sue Grayson vegan-network Thursday, June 14, 2001 11:03 AM [100% veg*n ] Re: 20 Questions > > . . I said if it's natural to eat meat then why do we have to cook it? One fo my friends came up with a good point, don't i cook most of my food. What would everyone else say to this?? Sas.

Guest guest
Remember how long it took you to go veggie and then vegan. some people on here have admitted taking years sometimes. I think you have to give him time. It depends on how long you have got . But I dont think it's wise to get too serious until the person has at least become veggie Being around an animal eater will weaken your resolve and we all get weak moments when it helps to be near vegans you are already weakening You are not trying to change him ,you are trying to save the lives of 1000's of animals that he is going to kill [or pay others to kill] for their sake's you must try or find a decent compassionate man Angie - Morag vegan-network Thursday, June 14, 2001 11:44 PM [100% veg*n ] Re: 20 Questions Yeah, he totally supports me about being vegan, but doesn't want to be one himself. Mostly it doesn't bother me, but it's hard to understand how such a great person in other ways can't give up meat. Also I feel guilty about wanting to change him... Guest guest
Why is it people accept that vegetarians get everything they need, but not babies? I believe that deep down people believe it to be a less nutritious diet and not suitable for infants. Like my aunty said to my GF. " I think vegetarian without milk and eggs is okay for men but not women! " . By the way I am a Saggitarius. I am ne to the group, 28 years old and mother to a 2 year old vegetarian. When I tell people that she's a veggie they practically accuse me of child abuse am I'm getting sick of it. My own family argued with me about my choice for the baby but are now convinced that her diet fulfils her needs. She is highly intelligent very healthy and does not suffer with constant colds unlike my nephew who is fed on burgers and crap.
