Guest guest
>PS. I've also gone and crossed over to the dark side (=fallen in love >with a carnivore), so feeling like a crap vegan in general! How do >you separate a cute man from his love of bacon?? this concerns me. the temptations on the path will come in many forms, parishoners. it darkens my heart to hear we are losing one of our sisters when there are so many welcoming heart within the fold. because unfortunately it is not just one bloke but a whole lifestyle and mates and all the rest that you are blinded by Eros to. but once Eros has been serviced and dissapears, you can all too easily discover that you are ensnared by the enemy. and confronted by a greasy day old bacon frying pan with little burnt lumps in the fat to wash up before you can cook up some rice and veggies. should i go further? believe me, the devil wears many masks and cute is his favourite one. so come on Suzy, at least tell us, is your man on our side as well? it is only normal to ask. do we get to vet him at a London table soon with you? i went with a friend to a non-veggie restaurant this evening to commiserate with them as they had just failed an end of term review. i want to so be there and support them, try and cheer them up but i was *so* uncomfortable in the atmosphere, i ended up killer miserable. it was not just the stink of the seafood in the air, it was a Thai, the trauma inducing thought of foof cooked in woks that meat gets fried in, oil and impliments etc, the hassle of having to explain what I could eat and not, the funny looks, the knowing that they would not get it right, the careless attitude but it was also the other people in the place. fat slags flapping cigarettes around three to a course and yakking, *****mothers smoking over kids at a meal table*****!!!!, no split between smokers and non-smokers and dishes full of steaming, charred, bloody victuals passing me by every other minute ... and remember this was a " good one " ..... it was hell! i was virtually straining at the table to leave [ and ended up with a bowl of rice and a salad for ten quid ;-( ] never, never again. >I think it is best when entering in to the VEGAN QUESTION territory to say >that you will discuss 'veganism' but not what you do. That way it is not >personal and is less likely to turn into a silly, 'but you eat plants' discussion. or just give them the old Hells Angel number, " .. if you have got to ask, you will never understand " . and then enigmatically change teh subject. >Wanna play scrabble...John...You still there?...It's still early! scrabbled tofu I can cope with. having fun with word games are my middle name. paying BT a tax on that is against my ethics. you and Rowan and Roy and Ash and who ever else have to set up a dinner date soon and bring your board then although if we are lucky there will be some better distraction there. i can sense the hunger pains already. hear that veg*ttes, john
Guest guest
> this concerns me. Why? You're not going out with this guy, so just give her a break!! Well, they're obviously not in her neck of the woods!! > so come on Suzy, at least tell us, is your man on our side as well? > it is only normal to ask. Yep, he sure is, and its probably why we get on so well. Oh, and he's very sexy to boot!! > do we get to vet him at a London table soon with you? Sure, if you're paying!! > .... it was hell! Nah....just the karma doing its thing. > you and Rowan and Roy and Ash and who ever else have to set up a dinner date soon and bring your board then although if we are lucky there will be some better distraction there. Guest guest
> Wow John, you're really going all out to make sure as many single vegan girlies as possible are reserved for you! LOL!!! Nice one Emily!! It's coz he can't have me anymore you see!! > Of course, it'd be a lot easier to just go out with a like-minded >vegan (if > you can find one!) Like me!!
