It's all very confusing with the new UDMA 66MHz HDD transfer rate. I think

it is 80 pin cable as it has a black, grey and blue connecter. Perhaps I

better double check! What's an ATA-100 drive. It's a Maxitor 8.4 GB drive.

I'll have to check if its an ATA-100, what ever that is.

Do either of you two know how to set up 2 hard drives so they act like one,

thus doubling the transfer rate?

It's all very illogical, as the 40 and 80 cables seem to fit on to the same

40 pins.

I even have the book Build your own PIII and it doesn't seem to answer it!

Rowan - Is that an ATA-100 drive? Yo know that they need the 80-core

cables rather than the normal 40?
