I hope everyone watched that dispatchers program last night on the war on

drugs (esp. you Lesley!). It was humbling to see such non-media hype and

government propergander portrayed so clearly. All that needs to be done now

is a program on the war on animals and the war on cancer (i.e. meaties

feeding it). Both are the same thing.

Most of it I knew already, but some was very new to me.

Heroine is officially less dangerous than aspirin/over the counter pain

killers.

Free heroine for addicts was banned because a few doctors were selling it.

Everyone except a few politicians (and the uninformed) thinks it's a good

idea to decriminalise it again. Bring on the free, clean heroine for

addicts, and bring on the flames.

Yours passionately.

No, I didn't watch it.

I'd expect the addicts to go " cold cheatin-turkey " in a special

hospital. Same with alcoholics or people giving up smoking, cutting

down gradually doesn't work, most ex-addicts of all types will tell

you, it has to be all or nothing. I don't agree with giving addicts

methadone cos they sell it to get more heroin. They take the doctors

for mugs, and no wonder! If they are serious they will give up

immediately and accept that is the only way, even though it means

some short-term suffering with withdrawal symptoms. I'm in favour of

help through that difficult time in a clinic.

I don't take aspirin or paracetamol personally, I don't think the

tablets are vegan anyway. Last time I took paracetamol was in the

hospital over 8 years ago for pain after my son's birth involving an

episiotomy and stitches (and yes I did feel a bit guilty about them

most likely not being vegan), and I can't even remember when I last

used aspirin.

I am all for avoiding these medicines as it doesn't take many

paracetamol to cause liver damage, and aspirin can cause stomach

bleeding. I am well aware that pharmaceutical drugs are dangerous and

should be used with extreme caution.

I find it especially frightening that Calpol for children contains

paracetamol, and that many parents are not fully aware of how careful

they must be if they use it.

Just saying that heroin is less dangerous than over the counter pain

killers doesn't convince me it is safe since I am aware that pain-

killers are dangerous.

Let them eat poppies!
