I Totally agree with not shoving veganism down anyones throat, argue

the toss when confronted and just drop the odd quote out now and

again, the odd bit of information you'll be amazed at who sometimes

listens.

I'm a bit that way too, I know I am turning into a right old battle-

axe. I was quite tolerant with meat-eaters for a few years because I

thought that it would only take a short time for almost everyone to

get the message and go veggie, but after almost 20 years vegetarian,

and almost 17 years of that as a vegan, my patience with most people

of my own generation is wearing thin.

I'm not about to feign tolerance of these callous and stupid people

any more, they grew up in the same society as I did, with the same

media messages. There is no excuse, there is plenty of information

and publicity about vegetarians and animal rights issues these days

and has been for many years.

It's not so simple as you think, here I prepared an article about

publicity, it's still under construction, so please, if you see any

errors - tell me:

How big companies turn people to want what they wish. What

tricks use businesses to make people wish to buy products. Why people

buy some products for not other reason that this product is labeled by

certain company. Do they use a beautiful women image to make men buy

certain product? Let we made a poster with beautiful women promoting

veganism. Do they use athletes images, nature views, subconscious

associations - let us mad same thing, but promoting world wide

veganism. And we will have advantages against them. They promote only

one product, or one company - we will promote style of life! For

everybody. Each person independently of age, status, gender and

religion can be a vegan. And each new vegan is less cruelty in our

society, not only for animals, but for humans also. Cruelty towards

humans are in many ways result of acceptance of other humans cruelty

towards animals.

There are about 8% of people who are not influenced much by publicity,

who are thinking things by themselves. And I think most vegans are

from this kind of people, because they understood things and wasn't

influenced by propaganda. But what about the rest of people, biggest

part of our society? Shouldn't we make information about veganism in the

way they will understand?
