Guest guest
Hey Lesley, Please tell me there's nothing unvegan about giving blood. What's in that iron measuring mixture? Do they do any tests on the blood involving animals? Or does the good of giving blood outweigh these potential problems? I am trying to find out more, specifically about the blood tests done in pregnancy. Most of them I am confident I don't need anyway, but I have a dilemma on one or two if there is no vegan way of testing (I have Rh Neg blood group). I just emailed Zoue Lloyd-Wright this morning to ask if she can help with information on testing methods. As you probably know, she has ensured a vegan method is being used for the B12 study, even though it costs more than the usual B12 testing method. I believe you are on her study, so is my husband, and I reckoned she was the person to know or would know someone who could advise. I shall report back to Vegan-network if she tells me anything helpful. Lesley
