Self-catering & now officially the cheapest uni accomodation in the country! I guessed it would be a nightmare getting even semi-vegan food in halls: I was at boarding school and though the veggie food was often grim, vegan food was for some reason impossible! What did/do you study? and what year are you in now? What were you involved in when you were in St. A? (It's so small I might know some of your friends...) Perhaps we could meet up some time next term? Do you go to vegan stuff in Glasgow? Sorry. Lots of questions. It's just exciting finding people who are kind of close to where I spend most of my year. I agree that St A is pretty tiny, and after a while you do need to escape (coach/train to Edinborough/Glasgow), but now stuck at the other end of the country I miss it! *smile* Jude. I study chemistry, and I've just finished second year. I was really lucky cos Glasgow let me change unis mid-year and it's worked out fine. At St Andrews in second year the main society I was in was the Shinty club - not that I'm that athletic but it was just so mad, it was loads of fun! In first year I went to trampolining all the time, but didn't go so much in second year. Also I did Science French, so I was on the committee for them and tried to get some vegan food at their meals! > Perhaps we could meet up some time next term? That would be cool! I'm probably going up for Freshers Week but that's normally busy for everyone - I'll probably be up other times as well. Or we could meet up in Glasgow one weekend. > Do you go to vegan stuff in Glasgow? In a couple of weeks I'm going to Glasgow Vegan Network for the first time.
