Hi folks,

 

sorry to have been away for a while. Perhaps a few of you might be

grateful for my absence but I have had a lot of extra load on at this

end. As said an old lady that I am friends with was diagnosed with very

late stage terminal cancer and another close friend will be nursing her

to the end. I am involved as a back up.

 

I cant remember death to anyone. It is awful. Not because of the dying

part. That is fine. It is natural and even gratefully welcomed. But all

this mammonistic legalese that has to go on. And the tremendous ugliness

it evokes out of individuals in terms of the manifest greed, ignorance

and selfishness of surviving acquaintances. Vultures and carrion to the

spoils of a kill.

 

I have just caught up with both the " Dead Diana " and " London Vegan "

threads and have to say that I am very, very unhappy with them.

 

I am very, very unhappy with the deliberate and prejudicial harshness of

the language used like tabloid propoganda; hate, hate, hate ...

intolerant, intolerant, intolerant ... . I resist and reject any

unsubstantiated ideas being drummed into me in this manner. I am very

thankful for Lesley's humility in posting the rebuttal from that group's

spokesman but ask that we avoid any such accusative and devise

vituperative in the future.

 

Likewise, that we waste bandwidth and stew up a flame war over something

as immaterial and unvegan as the Dead Diana Industry, Incorporated.

 

This is not a chatline. You are publishing or broadasting to 130 other

individuals. By all means discuss it amongst each other directly/ Bomb

the hell out of your anti-party's mail box for all I care. But please

leave the list for what brings us together, nourishes and engenders

community rather than focus on the microscopic minutae that causes

division. Ask, " do 130 people really need to read this before you hit

the send button.

 

Remember folks, this is not a democracy. It is a benevolent dictatorship,

as fraggle would call it. I will Thor's hammer unmercifully, cast about

Zeusian thunderbolts at all asunder if the Olympian Peace of Planet Vega

is disturbed again. Do you need any other fearsome metaphors mixed in

there?

 

 

* Lesley, you have already had one yellow card recently and did not heed

it, so you are out and on the bench for some time out. Create solutions

rather than fight perceived problems.

 

* Andy, you can stay on the pitch but you got your first yellow card for

being nasty to Country Jane.

 

Stick with good vegan practices.

 

And Remember mortals, if you keep it nourishing or informative every one

will feel much better about being hearing from you, even invite their

friends to join.

 

Think warm, wet and or fluffy.
