Guest guest
Blair is now railroading through the approval of the UK's first GM crop: T25 Maize. Join FOE's campaign: http://www.foe.co.uk/campaigns/real_food/press_for_change/GM_crop_ban/ which includes a letter to send to our beloved PM. I'm also going to my local MP's weekly surgery mto discuss this matter. Never forget, when GM material enters the biosphere it stays there forever and contaminates everything. Once introduced it removes choice, since even organically grown crops will be contaminated. Don't let them get away with it. Rob.
Guest guest
It's not just T25 Maize that we should be worried about. There are over 100 farm-scale trials of GM crops growing in the UK at the moment, plus about 50 other smaller sites. Many sites have local campaigns organised against them and some have been successful in getting participating farmers to withdraw from the trials. Other sites have been decontaminated without the site owner's permission! The most widespread use of GM food in this country is for animal feed. Another good reason to go vegan. Guest guest
But this is the first to be given approval for commercial use. If this goes ahead, the rest will just follow. We need to stop the first one. vegan-network, jane@m... wrote: > It's not just T25 Maize that we should be worried about.
