Guest guest
To Whom It May Concern, With the rise of animal rights/liberation activity around the world there is a desperate need for a broad based student coalition to address issues of animal exploitation. Students are in a unique position to access resources, educate others, and organize for the animals. Keeping this in mind and drawing from the power of collective student action, the Students for Animal Liberation listserv has been created. Currently this e-list is independent of any official organization. Its purpose is simply to provide an independent forum for discussion and organizing for animal liberation. Students can work together to attain more vegan/vegetarian foods, confront animal experimentation and dissection, introduce cruelty-free products to retailers in and around the campus community, etc. A successful student movement is vital to the promotion of animal liberation. Please consider joining the email list to share your experiences and learn from others. Any/All relevant messages are encouraged! Keep in mind, however, this list will be moderated to ensure that posts are consistent with the general theme of student organizing. Once again, this list is solely for those interested in the role of students in working towards animal liberation. Also keep a look out for a student fast for alternatives to animal use coming in early 2002. Planning will begin in the near future.
