Guest guest Posted September 20, 2001 Report Share Posted September 20, 2001 > so do you use conditioner? - sorry if I'm boring the pants off of everyone > discussing my washing by the way! > > Jayne no, that's fine Jayne. this has always been the kind of list where people wash their dirty sheets [ i was about to say underwear ] in public. seriously. i think that it is really worthwhile applying attention to ever details in one's life. amazing how the entire world of consumers have been lulled into the thought that that have to buy a huge box of air, whey and egg shells in order to pollute the environmental with a tiny amount of detergent when there are alternatives. what ever happened to the sonic washing machine. the ultimate vegan washday. died in a conspiracy of suppression from the weight of the power such as Proctor and Gamble that make the washing up powder. and what's the ethics rating for companies like them? john the UK vegan fest happened last weekend and was great as ever. nice to meet some old young faces. it is fascinating to just sit around and check out all the people thinking, " hmmmn ... so that is what a vegan looks like. i wonder what they eat? " best food award : Neals Yard Spicey Spinach Pie on the subject of good food. recommedations must go out for two other high end veggie/vegan eateries that i have encountered and re-encountered in London. Manna, one of the oldest veggie joints in town has been done up [ new to me anyway ] and is now less hippy and more World of Interiors. the food is great, although be prepared to lose 20 pounds to gain 5 pounds. it is not cheap but very elegant and well presented. much better selection for vegans although the bread has dropped in standards. they used to use the great " nutty " Jordan's wholemeal flower which was the best, has it gone forever? also The Gate has another branch in Belsize Park which is Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
