Buying your bovine squeezings in a reusable glass bottle is far more environmentally responsible than the packaging that 95% of us buy our various milks in. Do I like my petrochemical DMs? No, but they are far better than the leather ones that I only recently managed to kill. Taking into account trophic levels (10% of energy very approximately passing up to the next level, so approx 1% of cow grass energy gets passed to carnivore to 10% for those vegans who like a bit of grazing), makes veganism a far more environmentally sound proposition than most other diets and potentially equal to that of our occaisionally preachy fruitarian friends.
