Guest guest
Nah, I hate any *artificial* meat. I gave up meat because I hated it. The notion of *mock* duck is quite disgusting! Guest guest
well I envy you I loved the taste of meat and gave it up purely for the sake of the animals environment etc.. I wish I hated it - especially in the early days when I found the whole thing difficult - Jane Cuming vegan-network Saturday, October 13, 2001 11:20 PM Re: [100% veg*n ] mock duck, fried shrimp, cuttlefish and more... I was flying EVA Air (taiwanese) and thought everything was going better than usual when the margarine sachet had a little vegan sticker on it (wow! my first ever on a plane); but the stirfried meal was so realistic that i called the stewardness and complained it was the wrong meal; confirmation came back that it was chinese veggie and the chicken was mock, but it looked so much like chicken that i couldn't eat it, even though i knew it was seitan btw, one thing i've found from trying various chinese veggie things (although your tastes may vary) - the seitan based things - like mock duck, are rather good and not artificial; however, the taro based things I've had have been inedible, at least to my occidental tastes jey
