Guest guest
I've been snuggling under holofill-type duvets for years and haven't missed down. In fact, I never really liked down/feather-filled pillows, duvets, jackets, or anything else that was filled with feathers, for that matter. They're uncomfortable and they are mean to me: the little, eviscerated feather tips/quills like to jab me as I sleep. No like. So, I am quite biased; therefore, likely not the best person to offer reasoned debate on this particular topic. Sorry. xxk@xx john allan [jallan] 17 October 2001 23:38 vegan list [100% veg*n ] Vegans of a Feather as a tangent to the leather subject is the down duvet debate, just out of interest, how many folks still sleep under feather filled quilts? i do although it is makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable. well, actually it is very comfortable but my conscience tosses and turns at night... in my defence, i did not buy it. [ a kind of Buddhist cop out like monks who dont eat meat unless they are given it in their begging bowls ]. however, just been to John Lewis and checked out the new generation of artificial one. getting better but still very plasticy, are there alternative alternatives? john To to the Digest Mode [ recommended ], send an email to: vegan-network-digest
Guest guest
The bedding in my house is all non animal derived (as far as I know). I don't have any down containing produce. If I did I would donate it to the charity shop and replace it with something new. Animal friendly alternatives are easily available and I humbly think doing otherwise would be a cop out. Regards, Stevie. --- " k@ " <kittyveg wrote: > I've been snuggling under holofill-type duvets for years and haven't > missed > down. Guest guest
I definitely prefer the non~feather variety. The feathers often scratch & sometimes even make me sneeze!?!.--- In vegan-network, " k@ " <kittyveg@l...> wrote: > I've been snuggling under holofill-type duvets for years and haven't missed > down. Guest guest
no feathers here and won't be with the links to slaughter house! I even request non feather at hotels etc.. to heighten the awareness that some of us don't want to sleep under feathers of murdered animals - terriw vegan-network Thursday, October 18, 2001 10:35 PM Re: [100% veg*n ] Vegans of a Feather I definitely prefer the non~feather variety.
