I've been snuggling under holofill-type duvets for years and haven't missed

down. In fact, I never really liked down/feather-filled pillows, duvets,

jackets, or anything else that was filled with feathers, for that matter.

They're uncomfortable and they are mean to me: the little, eviscerated

feather tips/quills like to jab me as I sleep. No like. So, I am quite

biased; therefore, likely not the best person to offer reasoned debate on

this particular topic. Sorry. :(

[100% veg*n ] Vegans of a Feather

as a tangent to the leather subject is the down duvet debate,

just out of interest, how many folks still sleep under feather filled

quilts?

i do although it is makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable. well,

actually it is very comfortable but my conscience tosses and turns at

night...

in my defence, i did not buy it. [ a kind of Buddhist cop out like monks

who dont eat meat unless they are given it in their begging bowls ].

however, just been to John Lewis and checked out the new generation of

artificial one. getting better but still very plasticy, are there

alternative alternatives?

The bedding in my house is all non animal derived (as far as I know). I

don't have any down containing produce. If I did I would donate it to the

charity shop and replace it with something new. Animal friendly

alternatives are easily available and I humbly think doing otherwise would

be a cop out.

Regards,

Stevie.

I definitely prefer the non~feather

variety. The feathers often scratch

& sometimes even make me

sneeze!?!.--- In

no feathers here and won't be with the links to slaughter house!

I even request non feather at hotels etc.. to heighten the awareness that some

of us don't want to sleep under feathers of murdered animals
