Guest guest
Graham, Have you ever read much philosophy? I haven't but I have a friend who has. His conversation is always interesting and one of the things I have picked up from him is the question of what is a fact. The philosophy text book answer he throws at me is something along the lines of 'A fact is something widely percieved as truth'. Maybe there are others on this mailing list who know more (compared with my knowledge of philosophy, it wouldn't be difficult). The point my friend makes is that everything is contestable. Hence language used; you can call it a fact sheet, I can call it a propaganda. To me it's one and the same. The point I am after is that I am trying to find some sources which claim to be credible reference points which provide information on why it is in people's best interests not to eat fish. I know some pescetarians who I would like to make this information available to. Regards, Steve. --- grahamburnett wrote: > vegan-network, Soche id <socheid> wrote: > > Does anyone know where there is some decent propaganda available on > the > > web (or anywhere else) as to why it is in people's best interests > not to > > eat fish or other sea food? > > why not direct people to factual information or the ethical > arguements and then trust them to make up their own minds- there's > enough propoganda around already at the moment.
