Sorry, I'm a bit behind in answering this. Basically, as everyone else says-it was a mistake. You did not go out of your way to cause deliberate harm to an animal. I'm sure this sort of thing has happened to most of us. If it makes you feel any better, in the past I have eaten soup with chicken stock in it [someone assured me it was vegetable stock] At a party my 'friends' thought it would be funny to put a sausage into my vegan sandwich when I wasn't looking. Ho ho ho, hilarious, eh? As far as I'm concerned, unless we choose to eat meat and dairy, then we are still living a cruelty free lifestyle as far as it is possible and practical.
