Hi,

you just did a mistake, it can happen, how know how you feel.

But don't label you: you usually try to avoid animal products,

as anyone who wants a better world does, and veganism is not

a club from which you get expelled if you got wrong, but a

purpose out of any fashion.

Just about everyone has a time when they accidently missed an

ingredient. (I recently found out that the Puri from a good local Indian

restaurant had egg in them - which wasn't what I had been told before.)

One does what one can. Besides, you ate it because you trusted your

mother. Who can blame you for that?

Gandhi said that total ahimsa is impossible.

why would that make you not vegan?

vegan is just a word

if you choose not to eat animals, nor partake in animal products, then, you

are vegan.....it comes from within......

if someone tricks you or you make a mistake, guess what, it's going to

happen, to all of us, eventually.....

good luck and keep it up!!!

cheers

I got fed Parma ham once - long story! I was in a right state afterwards but

with the help of a chat from the vegan society I realised that being a vegan is

so very much more than what you put in your mouth - it's a way of life and the

way you think.

Your mum told you it was vegan - so as far as I can see you did the vegan

thing! you made the point you wanted it to be vegan!

I just discovered today that " Brittons soya sausage rolls " are no longer

vegan. they say " new improved formula " but now contain eggs!!! (.I don't

know about their pasties!) but I wouldn't buy them now on principle Angie

First Linda McCartney Foods and now Brittons. I wonder why this is

happening? Why are they all introducing eggs into their products?!
