Guest guest
Cornbread sounds deeelicious! However, this isn't quite correct: Ecc> Many vegetarians Ecc> avoid white sugar which is refined using charred animal Ecc> bones as a filter and because it is missing any Ecc> nutritional value. Brown sugar and Turbinado sugar make Ecc> good substitutes. Sucanat tends to be less sweet than Ecc> white sugar. White cane sugar is processed with bone char, but white beet sugar isn't. Brown sugar is just processed white sugar (if it's cane or beet varies by brand) with molasses added back in. So... Does anyone know of a major brand of sugar that's from beets? I know about Florida Crystals etc., but I want something I can find outside of a specialty store or at least something that costs less than Florida Crystals. Even when I get it from the bulk bins it's expensive... I should introduce myself. I'm Cheryl. I'm 20 years old, female, I live in Lexington, Ky, usa. Was vegetarian for five years before going vegan, been vegan for about three years now. I like rats and cats and banjos and books. I have a livejournal, http://www.livejournal.com/~eyeawry . My favorite soda is Stewart's Orange and Creme. I like pistachios a lot too. And I like trout, but not for eating, of course. I'm going to make doughnuts Saturday! - Cheryl ..................................... http://www.pickleflick.com/bean http://www.livejournal.com/~ratties AIM: triceratops bean " Roses are red, violets are blue, You are a tacky malefactor.
