Guest guest
I have to say, while I don't believe in killing anything unnessesarily, and drunken hunters piss me off severely, I am a bit offended. The majority of hunters are responsible and are worthy of much more respect than the sheltered and ignorant people who buy their meat from inhumane factory farms. Guest guest
(I wonder how badly you'll get flamed for saying that.) I get your point about the hunted animals having better lives (until the point where they are killed.) But the hunters are killing animals for fun. For *fun*. And hence I don't respect them much. skoffx wrote: > > I have to say, while I don't believe in killing anything unnessesarily, and > drunken hunters piss me off severely, I am a bit offended. Guest guest
Some hunters do only hunt for sport and that is just horrible, it's purposessless death. My dad is one of these people and it drives me insane. I can tell you though, many people hunt for food as well. I've been hunting (many years ago) and the game I killed was essentially all the meat I ate after that.
Guest guest
I'm not attempting to justify hunting, just to point out that those who hunt their food are more deserving of respect than those who purchase it and give no thought to the effects of their decisions. Guest guest
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I have absolutely no sympathy with yours. Hunting for sport is deplorable. However, hunting to put food into the pot cuts no ice with me either. It's unnecessary. Pardon me, but I don't give a flying fuck if this hunitng of yours was at the North pole and the options were hunt seals or starve. To me the answer to this scenario would be to move somewhere else. Guest guest
While I can see the point you are trying to make, I still do not agree with it. The world is full of alternatives to eating meat. This may well be an exercise akin to banging a head against a brick wall, but the way forward I feel would be education for the hunters. While there are some who could be reasonaed with, I also believe there are people out there who will want to hunt and nobody will tell them otherwise. It's a tough world we live in.
