Guest guest
The Body Shop seems to be a big fan of animal ingredients. When phasing out my vegetarianism, imagine my horror to find that my favourite lipblam contained not only lanolin but beeswax as well. The Body Shop also aren't too hot on their labelling-the ingredients will be there but, as in the case of my lipbalm, are somtimes to be found underneath a peel back strip which I couldn't get at until i'd bought it. However I'm sure they'd be helpful enough if asked. As has been said-check out their testing policy. They might be against it but it's a clevery worded phrase. I was aginst Battery hens but I still ate Quorn until 6 months ago!! Lush is very good on the labelling and the ingrdients. However, check out their testing policy...some have complained but I'm not totally clear on why. They don't sell makeup (actually I think they believe you shouldn't wear it) so you would have to check out the Body Shop instead. email Lush though...they will with any luck point you in the right direction with shipping to Hong Kong (surely that's better than flying out!!) oh yeah and try the Veganese conditioner if like me you like a good conditioning!! Oh, yeah, and all the vegans I know are very keen on nail varnish and glitter. so most nail varnish, I assume, is okay, as long as it's not animal tested. 'Spectacular' is okay I think ...and also has a 'Rocky Horror' show range. Fantastic. (incidently, all the vegans I know like that too....what about you lot?) Love n' light..... Guest guest
i loved the fun lush smells & shapes, until i found myself allergic to everything i tried, and known others who've been the same. not sure if there's something particular in their products, or if it's skin sensitivity to anything other than pure soap anybody else like lush, and the little green v's on all the vegan tings, but not able to use it? I know - the last time I checked some of their makeup brushes were even made out of animal hair. Star Gazer is good for glitter and hair dye. >(incidently, all the vegans I know > like that too....what about you lot?)
