Hello - i'm also new to the list, i've been on the GVN one but only just got

round to joining this one. My name is Ewan from Glasgow, i just turned 20

and i study social sciences at Glasgow Caley uni and i've been vegan for

about only 5 months after being vegetarian for 2 years, just joined the list

cos i always like to hear other vegan viewpoints and opinions, especially

seeing as i only know 3 or 4 other vegans. Cheers,

Ewan

yeah, it's hard, isn't it? The only vegans I know are an hour away in

benders (and a treehouse) in the woods, and I don't get to see them

as often as I'd like. ie I'd love to live up there but I have things

to do here on the other side of Dartmoor!

You'd have thought vegetarians would be understanding but they really

don't seem to be most of the time.

Hiya to all those who introduced themselves!

Love

Charlie xxxx

whose not understanding? and why not? a lot of people i guess have different

reasons for going veggie, and some of them once they do it feel theyre

doing enough and refuse to listen to anyone who mentions that suffering

is caused by milking and force molting (wait, are they allowed to do

force molting over here?)... oh well. didnt mean to offend any veggies

on the list, im jsut always confused at how animal rights adocates can

just be so uptight in not realising how hypocritical they are!

And then there are those " vegetarians " who would still eat anything that is

cooked with meat - as long as they don't actually eat the MEAT. I get that

a lot here in Hong Kong, and it pisses me off even more when some say, " The

chicken's dead already anyway. "

Honor

Thinking of travelling? Come to Hong Kong, the City of Life (uh....not

really, but just for advertising purposes)! This city is in desperate need

of vegans!!!

yes i notice that too....some people sorta make sense...but it still

doesn't sound liek the right choice....

i mean people walk into petsmart where i work..wearing HUGE fur coats

and buying the BEST food for their pets....i'm like.....why would you

buy this great food to make sure your pet is healthy but care so little

about a rabbit who dies for that stupid coat!... it's abnoxious....
