Guest guest
Hi, There's a book you can get called " A-Z of Animal Ingredients " . Get a copy - I got mine from Amazon, so it's pretty readily available. Then any time you go shopping for cosmetics (after checkig that the brand you intend to buy is on PETA's " non animal-testing " list (http://www.peta-online.org/mall/cc/ccdonttest1.html )), bring the book along with you. If the shop assistant assures you no animal ingredients are in the product, ask to see the ingredient list (BodyShop keep a book with every ingredient listed for all their products, but you have to ask for help - they don't volunteer the information. Check all the ingrediets off, one by one, till you know the product is okay. The next important step is to KEEP A LIST of products that are vegan, including complete name etc of the product. This is invaluable when it comes to re-stocking on any particular product. However, from my experience, NEVER trust a salesperson without checking for yourself. This goes for restaurants, eateries etc too. Too many times I have asked if a dish is vegan, been answered in the affirmative, then (in the case of Asian dishes in particular) when I have emphasized that I am ALLERGIC to chicken and will go into shock if there's chicken stock in it, been informed that actually, yes, the dish does contain chicken stock. Guest guest
Yeah, I always check for myself...there's no point in asking the salesperson, because, after all, their job is to SELL the product! I've just placed my order for " A-Z of Animal Ingredients " with Amazon...hope that'll help! Honor > >Hi, > >There's a book you can get called " A-Z of Animal Ingredients " .
