Guest guest
What I meant about vegetarians not being very understanding was that many vegetarians percieve vegans as extremists. I have to admit I held this view until I spoke to some. I was actually put off veganism by the vegan society-some of their adverising many years ago was rather strange and didn't encourage my perception of veganism to be more postive at all. However since then my contact with the society has been very positive. I didn't mean to offend anyone, obviously! I have met many vegetarians who are really great with vegans but some have been very strange..it's a kind of , 'oh my god...it's vegan...back away slowly, don't show her the cheese....' kind of reaction. Scary!! Anyone else ever find that? (my mother did it and she's veggie) also ...I say 'I'm vegan, can you do this for me..' in restaurants but it occured to me I could claim i was veggie and allergic to dairy or just allergis to everything...cause then they'd think I was gonna die if they fed me anything. But then again, it is lying and it is also not letting people know that I disaggree with intensive farming. Hmmmmmm....thoughts Love Charlie xxxx

Once his brother refused to drink a Coke at a restuarant because he thought it was 'vegetarian Coke' or something. o...k. - Cheryl ..................................... http://www.pickleflick.com/bean http://www.livejournal.com/~ratties AIM: triceratops bean " I'm melting!
