Guest guest
On the same theme, also watch out for biryanis which can have yoghurt in the rice. Also some restaurants will use mainly vegetable ghee, but will use butter for a few dishes, usually (I've found) sag bhajee or sag aloo (I guess they think spinach needs an extra kick). On a different cultural note, I made it to Peking Palace recently, the new veggie Chinese place in Archway (N London) and despite being quite used to Chinese fake meats I must admit that the meal was occasionally scary (eg King Prawns!). But the food was good and almost everything was vegan, although I think some of the dishes have honey in them. The best bits for me were the starters and the beancurd. Anyway, it's not cheap, but try it if you're brave enough.
